They could cover any band and pull it off perfectly thanks to Jack Williams' (Gotwalls) wonderful arranging ability.<br />They could capture the essence of any hit record. I was with them through the heyday of the lounge acts. Had they focused on Jack Williams ability to arrange and compose, they could have launched new careers writing and recording for TV.They were a gold mine, but the visual shtick wore them out. Don, the guitar player was a controlling egomaniac that held Jack back from exploring his musical ability saying that he was a great comedian that was fueled by his own (Don) staightman genius. A great shame, in the end.fishbuzzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02357902293502447043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2026117493474575058.post-55553558684274687042011-12-17T19:55:52.412-08:002011-12-17T19:55:52.412-08:00Loved Tony Mart's, Bayshores, Dunes, Mothers.....Loved Tony Mart's, Bayshores, Dunes, Mothers.....I had the pleasure to play in bands that hit ALL of these clubs. However, the band that I remember the most was 'Sam the Band' at Bayshores....INCREDIBLE and funny band. But Tony Mart's was my hang-out. Loved 'Mart's'. By the way....was there a Tony Mart?Guitarz1970https://www.blogger.com/profile/08515810951006185012noreply@blogger.com
